Vinnaithaadi Varuvaayaa Hindi Remake To Grace In July
After much speculation, ace director Gautham Vasudeva Menon is all set to begin the Hindi remake of his latest Tamil hit Vinnaithaadi Varuvaayaa on April 4, 2011.
The film will be jointly produced by IN Entertainment (Part of Hinduja Group) and Gautham Menon’s Photon Kathaas. Oscar winning musician A.R. Rahman will compose music for the Hindi version too.
Prateik Babbar (son of yesteryear Bollywood hero Raj Babbar) and Amy Jackson will play the lead roles in Hindi. M.S. Prabhu is the cinematographer and Javed Akthar will write the lyrics and screenplay.
"We are sticking to the original version; Amy will be playing the role of Jessy, the Malayalee Syrian Christian girl. A.R. Rahman has already given me three tracks.
As of now, we are sticking to the original Tamil tunes but Rahman and Javed saab will take a final call if anything different has to be worked out for the Hindi audiences," Gautham Menon was quoted as saying. The film is expected to grace theatres by July 2011.
