‘Vinnaithandi Vaaruvaaya’ was a smashing hit in Tamil. The film was directed by Gautham Menon with Simbu and Trisha in the lead. Now the National Award winning director is all set to make another hit with the Hindi version of VTV. The film will get on the floors on April 4, say reports. Right from his first film ‘Minnale,’ Gautham has been receiving offers from producers for Hindi remakes of all most all his films. Actress Trisha has denied reports that her marriage is around the corner. The actress, responding to these rumours through her social networking page, has said there is no basis for these reports and there is no special someone in her life. Trisha, dismissing the reports in a light-hearted manner, added that she is busy with the filming of Mankatha with actor Ajith. Trisha will be appearing with Ajith on screen for the third time after Ji and Kireedam.

After much speculation, ace director Gautham Vasudeva Menon is all set to begin the Hindi remake of his latest Tamil hit Vinnaithaadi Varuvaayaa on April 4, 2011. The film will be jointly produced by IN Entertainment (Part of Hinduja Group) and Gautham Menon’s Photon Kathaas. Oscar winning musician A.R. Rahman will compose music for the Hindi version too. Prateik Babbar (son of yesteryear Bollywood hero Raj Babbar) and Amy Jackson will play the lead roles in Hindi. M.S. Prabhu is the cinematographer and Javed Akthar will write the lyrics and screenplay. "We are sticking to the original version; Amy will be playing the role of Jessy, the Malayalee Syrian Christian girl. A.R. Rahman has already given me three tracks. As of now, we are sticking to the original Tamil tunes but Rahman and Javed saab will take a final call if anything different has to be worked out for the Hindi audiences," Gautham Menon was quoted as saying. Reportedly Tamil super star Rajinikanth’s much-anticipated computer animation film, earlier titled Sultan The Warrior and later changed to Hara, has now been renamed Raana. It is said that the last 30 minutes of the film will be in live action format and K.S. Ravikumar has been finalized to direct those sequences. There are also reports that actress Trisha will share screen space along with Rajni in the last 30 minutes of the film. Directed and produced by Rajinikanth’s younger daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth, Raana is expected to grace screens worldwide in 2011. Music by Oscar winner A.R. Rahman is likely to hit the stands in the near future.

Ajith’s Mankatha has already created a lot of buzz in the industry. The latest we hear is that heroine Trisha plays the role of a Chennai slum girl in the film. Manmadhan Ambu and Kamal Hassan came under severe criticism from a caste-based organisation in the state for allegedly hurting sentiments of a certain section of the society. The subject in question is a song, which has been written and sung by Kamal Hassan for Manmadhan Ambu. It was also appealed that the objectionable song be removed from the movie. Putting an end to the controversy, Kamal Hassan has released a statement today mentioning that the song in question has been removed from the movie considering the interests and claims of so many people involved. He also claimed that this song, which has become a popular number in FM channels and TV channels already, was not written or included in the movie to hurt anyone intentionally. It can be recalled that the movie has been given a ’U’ certificate by the censor board.

Kamal Haasan’s eagerly awaited Red Giants Manmadhan Ambu, directed by KS Ravikumar has been cleared by censors with a ’U’ certificate. The film will now release on Friday, December 23 worldwide. There is a good buzz around the film which also has Madhavan, Trisha and Sangeetha. It has music by Devi Sri Prasad.

Kamal Haasan’s new upcoming Tamil film ‘Manmadhan Ambu’ Telugu dubbing rights has acquired by Lakshmi Ganapathi Films. Udhayanidhi Stalin, son of Deputy CM of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin, is producing a film ’Manmadhan Ambu’ on his Red Giant Movies banner. Trisha is pairing with Kamal Hassan. The film, directed by KS Ravikumar,and R Madhavan in a key role. Kamal Hassan and KS Ravikumar are coming together in Manmadhan Ambu after Dasavatharam .‘Ghajini’ star Surya will make a cameo appearance. Release is expected in December. Film is currently undergoing post-production works. The music for the film has been scored by Devi Sri Prasad. Lakshmi Ganapathi Films also acquired the dubbing rights of the Suriya, Shruti Hassan starrer Ezham Arivu, directed by AR Murugadoss."

Looks like Trisha is going to be jet-setting the whole of next month. First, we hear the actress will be flying to London to sashay down the ramp for the audio launch function of her good friend Simbu’s film, Vaanam. And then, she will be in Singapore on Novmber 20 to attend the audio launch function of her KS Ravikumar-directed Manmadhan Ambu. It’s reported that Kamal Haasan, Madhavan and Sangitha, along with Trisha, will go on a night cruise with a few Kamal fans to promote the film. Amidst all this, she will start shooting for Venkat Prabhu’s Mankatha as well. With so much happening in November, Trisha, though excited, is feeling a little sad because she won’t get to spend Deepavali with her family. "I will be in Mumbai then, shooting for Mankatha," she was heard telling her friends. Trisha is working a film with Kamal Haasan, Manmada Ambu which is directed by K.S.RaviKumar and produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin. For this film Trisha have sung a song, in which she pairs up with Kamal Haasan. This song was written by Kamal Haasan.
